Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi)

The Kids BJJ program is ideal for students ages 6-16. The program focuses on essential BJJ techniques but also instills personal confidence in kids. Through BJJ kids learn increased levels of attention and discipline while promoting increased levels of respect for themselves, their fellow students, and their instructors.

The juvenile (06 to 15 years old) belt system includes 5 various belt colors- white, grey, yellow, orange, and green (in order of least to most experienced). Again, each belt level can also be divided into four sublevels denoted by adding a stripe for each sublevel (to be decided by individual academies). A juvenile athlete cannot receive a blue belt until they are at least 16 years old.

The Kids BJJ course is instructed wearing a traditional BJJ uniform known as a “gi” (or kimono).
